Some of the six ways for people to like i am smiling more often, I'm trying to get to know the person i meet before so i won't be waiting for them to get to know so they can like me. Changing the subject what i did on friday and on the weekend was that friday all i did was go to school get home sleep for a bit and then go out with my friend. On Saturday i got up early in the morning got ready and came to school for softball try outs but when i got to school they told me softball try outs were canceled and i was sad because i really want to practice and try out, after i found out try outs were canceled i went back home and waited for my mom and dad to get ready because i had a dentist appointment at 2:00 and we had to get there before to check in. We got to the dentist checked in and i waited for them to call me in. When they called me in i was nervous because i didn't want them to do anything because i didn't want to get anesthesia.Once they got everything ready they put anesthesia on my left bottom lip and then the dentist checked if my lip and gum was numb so he asked me if i could feel pain when he would touch my tooth and i said yes, so he said okay and put more anesthesia on my lip, after he did that he started right away and started the process of the root canal. I thought it was going to hurt and take long to do but it didn't hurt and it was really fast it probably lasted like 20-25 minutes. After i got out of the dentist i went home and rested because i was in a little bit of pain. On Sunday i went to my grandparents house and have a family meal with my parents, grandparents, uncle, aunt and her husband.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Habit 1" Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, " I am the captain of my life.I can choose my attitude.I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger.

What this means is that you are the person that controls your life and no one can control it. You are the person that makes your own decisions. You need to be positive about all the things you do or say, many people are negative about themselves and it puts them down so they become lazy and don't feel like doing anything. You need to be proactive so people can see that you're an enthusiastic person and you are willing to do anything. When people see that in you they might ask you what you like doing, what do you do to be an energetic person etc. Being proactive can be good when you have a job because when you are doing you are doing your job the right way and with such a happy feeling and a positive attitude then you might even get promoted to a better position at your job with a better pay. You decide what you want to do with your life, you need to be responsible of your actions because you are the person that controls your attitude and your actions. The attitude you have everyday whether it be sad, mad, happy, overwhelmed,
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will."( Jack Welch)
"When you know where you intend to end up, you know where you are now."(Covey)
I think this means that you need to know where you want to start in your life like what do you want to do today and what you want to do the other days. If you don't control your destiny like what you want to do with your life then someone else will take advantage of you because you still don't know what you want to do with your life so they will "control" your destiny and what you want to do with you're life they'll make decisions for you even if you like them or don't. When you now what you're going to do with you life and you have a plan and a goal to reach then you will know what you need and where you stand now because you already have a plan and a goal in mind for your future. When other people control your future it gets boring because you can't say anything or make your own choices because you really don't know what you want to do with your life . For example some of the people that can control your destiny can be you're parents because they can see that you aren't worrying about your future and can see that you don't have a plan or goal in mind. I don't think anyone would like other people to be controling their destiny or future or what htey do in life. I know i wouldn't want my parents or anybody else to cotrol my life or decide my career in life, what happens if i want to be something else but my parents are controling my destiny so they have another plan for my life in mind and they just tell me what the career they want me to be and all i would have to do is see what calsses i would need to take and other things i would need to do so i can
Habit 3: Put First Things First
" Organize and execute around priorities."
What this means is that you should put all of your priorities first like for example if you have to do a lot of homework, chores, work etc but you want to go out later with your friends or just want to go out in general then you need to put all of those things first and you need to finish them first before you can go out and do the things you want to do later on. Some people go out first and then do their responsibilities, when they do that then they get used to it and start doing things like that they shouldn't go out and have fun first they should put their responsibilities first to get them out the way and then they can be able to go out with their friends and have fun and not worry about doing anything while you're out with your friends having fun. When you put things first and you do them then you will have spare time and you will be able to do a lot of things you want to do and you won't have to worry about doing anything later on because you already did all of your responsibilities. The people that don't put their responsibilities first and do other things then they will leave all their responsibilities to last minute and will be rushing everything all because
Habit 4: Think Win-Win
" Think win-win or no deal"
Habit 5: Seek First to understand, then to be understood.
"diagnose before you prescribe"
This is saying that you should be able to understand things first and then you should be able to explain things with being able to be understood. When you are able to understand things when they are given to you with instructions or directions and you are able to understand them, then that means you are able to explain to others and they are able to understand you. When you don't understand what is being said to you then you aren't going to be able to explain to others and be understood instead you are just going to confuse yourself and the others. In order to be understood you need to talk and explain things clearly, need to talk slowly or at a medium pace, you need to have eye contact and physical movement. Some people are visual learners others are listening learners and some can be both so you will need to do and say whatever it takes for you to be understand when you aren't able to explain yourself then you won't be able to be understood. If someone were to ask you " what are we supposed to do?" because that person wasn't paying attention to the teacher's directions then you tell them what the assignment was and what we need to do but you yourself didn't even understand what the teacher said then that person won't be able to understand you because you aren't clear on what you are explaining. On the other hand the other student that was paying attention explains to you what you need to be doing and you are able to understand him because he spoke clearly and he understood the teacher's directions. It's like when you are presenting a presentation at a meeting and while you are presenting, your co-workers or fellow classmates don't understand your presentation because you aren't being clear and you're talking way too fast and you aren't giving them you full attention so that you can see if they understand or not.
Habit 6: Synergize
" The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"
What this means is that the whole is better that the small parts that make that whole. Like when you're building a shelf, chair, table etc the final product is better than the small parts that made up that piece of furniture. At the end you will get a better product. Its like saying the person you are is better than the little things you do in your life so you can be that person. If you're in a group project or in a meeting and there's like 8 of you guys then it'll be better for all 8 of you to work together because you will end up with a better result like you will get a good score on your project because you all worked as a team than individual and said you guys worked as a team when you can see that the small parts clearly state that you guys did not work as a team, but when you're in a meeting it'll be easier for you guys to make a decision or to come up with a better plan than the plan you had before. I think this means to either work as a team or don't work at all because the little things other people might ruin what you did and as a whole you will not look so good. I also think it means that you have to work things out little by little to get what you want and as end result to get a greater whole.

This will help you in your life if you make this one of your habits because when you apply habit number 3 into your daily life your life will be easier because you won't procrastinate and wait till the last minute to do it. How to Win Friends and Influence People
Rule 1: Become genuienly interested in other people
1) " Do this and you will be welcome anywhere"
2)" You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to to get other people interested in you."
3) " Ask questions to other people, questions that they would enjoy answering"
When you influence people you want to make sure you are a good influence to them because you don't want to be a bad influenece to someone and have a bad reputation. You want to make sure you have a good reputation and you are influencing or mentoring the person right becaus eif you don't they'll end up being a bad person or doing bad things in their life which will not be good they'll probably blame you for infulencing them or mentoring in that way and will say that you were a bad mentor. When you make you new friends you want to make sure you are interested because then you won't like how they are or how they act so you need to be interested. When you make new friends you are welcomed anywhere because you are friendly and they will accept you anywhere because you are always making friends and you are nice to people and you treat them with respect and you are outgoing as well.
Rule 2: Smile
1)" Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says," i like you. You make me happy. I'm glad to see you."
2)" You don't feel like smiling? Then force yourself to smile."
3)" It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign(witness or identification)of friends."
What this is saying is that no matter what happens you should always smile. What ever you're going through you should always smile because when people see you smile then they start smiling and they can see you are in a good mood and that you're a positive person. Even when you're sad you should always be smiling because it can put you in a good mood. I feel like when a person smiles it puts me in a good mood and it makes me feel happy because i see that the other person is happy and a smile can brighten up my day or anyone else's day. A smile can say so many different things and can tell some one a lot about you, your smile can attract others to the room because they can see it is a happy environment and that it can bring positivity in their life. When you smile even when its not the right time for you to smile in your life you can still feel positive about the situation and make others think the same thing.
Rule 3: Remember names
1) " A man's name is to him the sweeter and most important sound of any language"
2) "If you don't remember names, you are headed for trouble."
What this means is that it is good when you remember someone's name because you never know when you're going to see that person again. For example let's say you meet someone new like their your friends friend and you ask for their name and then later on you bump into them at the mall or at the store or at school and then you see them and you forgot their names but they remember yours so now you're
Rule 4: Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
1)" If you aspire to be a good conversationalist, be an attentive listener."
2) " Remember that the man you are talking to is a hundred times more interested in himself and in his wants and his problems than he is in you and your problems."
What this means is that when you start a conversation you need to be a good listener because you never know when they can ask you questions about the conversation and you won't know what to say or give an answer because you weren't paying attention
Rule 5: Talk in terms of the other man's interest.
"The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most."
What this means is that when you talk to some one you should talk to them about what they want to achieve in life what are their goals and what they care about the most and maybe you guys will have things in common. When you ask them what they care about the most you can learn something new everyday and be surprised on what they tell you. Maybe they can tell you that what they care about the most is their dog and you can be confused on think why would they care a lot about their dog? but then you ask and then they tell you why and then you can see why they care a lot about their dog then they can ask you what you care about the most or what do you treasure the most then you tell them something and they can be shocked as well. When you ask them on what they treasure they can see that you really care about them so they will start talking to you even more.
Rule 6 : Make the other person feel important--and do it sincerely.
" The desire to be important is the deepest urge in human nature."( John Dewey)" helping people feel important and appreciated works magic."
This means that if you make the other person feel important do it out of the good from your heart and not just because you want them to feel special or because someone told you to make that person feel special. When you make someone feel special you can make them feel happy or you can make them smile. You can put other people in a goood mood when you make the other person feel special. The person you make feel special can be in a good mood and feel good about themselves for the whole day, they might be having a really bad day and they tell you all about it and then you decide to make them feel special because you start thinking that they could really use someone at the moment so you start comforting them and you start giving them advice and start talking to them to make them feel better. When you make someone feel special you put them in a good mood and you can even put yourself in a good mood. You make the person feel appreciated and it makes the person feel good about themselves. Many people don't care about how other people feel so they don't make others feel appreciated and it makes others feel bad about themselves because they feel like their not wanted in their group or in the area. When people dont appreciate other people it makes other people feel bad because they think they might not be good enough for those people or they might think they might not fit in the group.
Final Reflection: Write an overall final reflection in this post regarding the "six ways to make people like you". Include your deepest thoughts and feelings. Write what you commit to do to apply the six rules.
What i think i can do to apply "the six ways to make people like you" is to apply these six rules in different situations in your life. Like if you were to use the first rule you would apply it when you move to a new area or go to a new place. You can meet new people and find what they are interested in than for you to wait until they find something interesting about you that will take longer to find because some people don't really pay attention to the interesting things you do or say. When you find something interesting about a person you can become good friends. Also you would be able to apply rule #2 when a friend, family member, or a neighbor is having a bad day and you don't like seeing them like that so you try making them smile and try to make them happy. A smile can mean so many different things. When a person smiles it can make another person happy or it can make another person's day. These six rules mean it can help you become a better person throughout your life and can bring you many positive things and positive people in your life that will motivate you to do better.
